Initial criteria that are important include proprietary technology, high growth markets, a global potential, favorable and sustainable margins and multiple exit options. We must be satisfied with the core management team, the anticipated investment holding period and the board representation. Due to its activist style, Still River Funds make most of its investments in companies located in the Northeastern United States.
The primary focus is companies whose products acquire, distribute or manage data in the technology and life sciences industries, specifically genomics, biotechnology and pharmaceutical development sectors. The Principals do not make investments simply because they follow trends established by other investments. Our investments are in larger markets (greater than $1 billion annual sales) that have the potential to experience double-digit long term annual growth rates. |
